Jason’s Quest

pp.[6] 160 FEP corner clipped and previous owners inscription on FEP. “The great and mighty city of Molanium was in danger of its life. A strange listlessness had struck the Molefolk. Unless something was done the race would die out. As the only mole immune from the creeping sickness, Jason (who was considered something of a bad lot by the Elders of the Tribe) resolves to set out on a quest. He would go to Thithei and Beyond in search of a cure. With him went Oliver, an unwise owl hoping to acquire wisdom, and two cats: Calico, bent on showing that cats are not always villains, and flighty Topaz who really only tagged along for the fun of it. They made for Londinium, sure that in the great city they would each find an answer. But their first alarming encounter was with the evil Blades, rat and mouse gangsters loyal only to the Great Rat himself. Had it not been for good friends the questers might never have survived. But the tale they lived to tell is as exciting as it is amusing.”
