The content of this book is based on exhibition at Musee de la Publicite from June 19th to Septembre 16 of 1985. “The choice of the items reproduce in this book requires some explanation. The aim is to five a glimpse of the richness of the Museum’s collection through 180 arbitrarily selected examples. If this sample (which represents about a half of one persent of what is held in the Museum) cannot please everybody, it must be emphasised that several sometimes contradictory criteria have determined the choice.” Text of the body is in the French.
