Dossett’s reading indicates a careful understanding of the text, and his pace is appropriate throughout. The narration includes some vocal characterizations, which generally enhance the text. Carnegie and Frick both were born in poverty, and both became titans of industry. They were competitors, collaborators, and–in the end–bitter enemies. The highlight of this work is the vivid description of the Homestead labor strife in 1892.”
